Embrey J. Lanzi
Embrey J. Lanzi, 92 years, of Solon, Ohio, and formerly of Dunbar, Pa., died Friday, March 28, 2003 in UHHS Bedford Medical Center, Bedford, Ohio. He was born December 23, 1910, in Dunbar, Pa., son of John Lanzi and Celeste Cammeresi Lanzi.
He was a retired Mailman from the United States Postal Service, served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Church Church and The Holy Name Society.
His wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Crish Lanzi, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Celeste Lanzi Fotta and husband, Thomas Fotta, of Solon, Ohio; four Grandchildren: Robert A. Fotta and wife Kelly, Bedford, Ohio, Susan and husband Bryan Ginley, Cleveland, Ohio, Michael V. Fotta, Solon, Ohio, and Thomas E. Fotta, Willoughby, Ohio; Great Grandchildren: Lauren Fotta and twins Joshua Ginley and Gregory Ginley; brothers and sister: James Lanzi, Dearborn, Michigan, Regis Lanzi, Brownsville, Pa., Jean Lanzi Maglanes, Scottdale, Pa., and Raymond Lanzi, St. Clair Shores, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 1, until 9:30 a.m. when Morning Prayers will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Ranch Road, Dunbar, Pa., with Rev. Fr. J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home on Monday at 4 p.m.
