June Y. Franks Simyak Cusick
June Y. Franks Simyak Cusick, 80, of California, Pa., died Thursday, March 27, 2003. She was born May 26, 1922 in Brownsville, Pa., daughter of Abram Franks and Katherine Worrell Franks.
June was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank J. Simyak in 1960, a brother, Harry Franks, two sisters, Haddie Bolduc and Lois Walker, and parents.
Left to cherish her memory are five children: Frank Simyak and wife, Phyllis, of Brownsville Pa., Darcy Simyak and wife, Deborah, of Brownsville, Pa., Sally Vadella and husband, Tony, of Richmond, Virginia, Lori Hajdu and husband, Bill, of West Brownsville, Pa., and Bill Cusick of Greensburg, Pa.; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters: Elaine Corse and Cirilda Mailo both of California state.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 31, until 9:15 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, Pa., with Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti and Rev. Fr. Louis A. Cheatham as Concelebrants.
Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Church Cemetery, Brownsville.
