Rose Sweda Semans
Rose Sweda Semans, 96, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday evening, March 28, 2003 in LaFayette Manor. She was born on September 3, 1906 in Leisenring, Pa., daughter of Adam Sweda and Barbara Mattis (Matyas) Sweda.
Rose was a member of St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church and past member of The Rosary Society.
She was a wonderful Wife and Mother, proud Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her Family was her life! Her warm nature and spirited happiness, which she bestowed to her family and friends, remain forever ours to be cherished.
Her parents, husband, Stephen Semans, daughters, Irene Rose and Mildred Ann Semans, brother, John Sweda, Adam Sweda, and sisters, Mary Petko, Helen Enany, Margaret Kozak, Katherine Check and Anna Petko, preceded her in death.
She leaves behind four children: Stephen J. Semans of Eugene, Oregon, Joseph P. Semans and wife, Eleanor, of Uniontown, Pa., Michael E. Semans and wife, Veronica, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Margaret M. Gregg and husband, Lloyd, of Uniontown, Pa.; six beloved grandchildren; 12 cherished great grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Bero of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
