Arlene (Nussbaumer) Roderick, age 85, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. She was born May 2, 1918 in Raymond, Washington, daughter of the now late John and Cecilia Nussbaumer.

Mrs. Roderick was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance, Pa.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford Roderick in 2002, a brother, John, and a sister, Freda Schaum.

She is survived by two daughters: Cindy and husband Andy Frank of Smithfield, Pa., and Sandra and husband Dan Vecchiolla of Uniontown, Pa.; three sisters: Loretta Darst of Akron, Ohio, Wanda Stancin of Akron, Ohio, and Elsie and husband John Kainraid of Diamond, Ohio; very close sister-in-law, Beatrice Switalski of Point Marion, Pa.; three grandchildren: Danny Vecchiolla and wife Vickie, Kim Vecchiolla Humberston and husband John Humberston, and Scott Vecchiolla and wife Debbie all of Uniontown, Pa.; and four great grandchildren: Jace, Jordan, Jared and Alison.

The Family will receive Friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF SMITHFIELD, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 1, until 9 a.m. when short Prayers will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Fairchance, with Rev. Fr. David Nazimek as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 7:30 p.m.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
