Lucas-Pastorius
Kristy Pastorius of Dunbar and Joseph Lucas of Connellsville were united in marriage on Oct. 5. The Rev. Thomas Schaefer officiated the nuptial Mass in St. Rita Catholic Church, Connellsville.
The bride’s parents are Dean and Karen Pastorius of Woodvale Street, Dunbar. The bridegroom’s parents are Donald and Marie Lucas of Valley Forge Drive, Connellsville.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.
Brandy Pastorius, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Billie Jo Meyers, sister of the bridegroom; Dayna Hair, Lisa Beane, sister of the bridegroom; and Danielle Brewer. Dominque Bartholomai, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Greg Uschock was best man. Ushers were Tim Glass, Steve Puskar, Nick Maravich, Rob Duncan, and Gene McManis, cousin of the bridegroom. Brandon Pastorius, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Historic Summit Inn, Farmington.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Connellsville High School; 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dental Hygiene, and a 2002 graduate of the same university with a bachelor of science degree in health management. She is employed as a dental hygienist.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Connellsville Area High School and a 2000 graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. He is a 2002 graduate of the same university with a master of science degree in educational psychology and is currently completing national certification in educational psychology. He is employed as a child therapist and behavioral specialist consultant.
The couple honeymooned in Mallorca, Spain and London, England. They are residing at 321 Hamlet Court, Pittsburgh.
