Tarr-Bickerstaff
St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, was the site of the marriage of Heidi Bickerstaff of Steubenville, Ohio, and Jeffrey Tarr of Allison. Monsignor George Yontz from St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Steubenville, officiated the service on Oct. 19.
The bride’s parents are David and Vicki Bickerstaff of Nancy Street, Steubenville. The bridegroom is the son of John and Carolyn Tarr of Allison.
Matron of honor was Alice Gaughan, Columbus, Ohio, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Holly Deitch, Monroeville, cousin of the bride; Theresa Zinllo, aunt of the bride, East Liverpool; Leslie Goldman, Chicago, Ill., and Amy Martin, Columbus, Ohio, cousin of the bridegroom.
John Bakewell of Vestaburg was best man. Ushers were Edward Gaughan, Columbus, Ohio, brother-in-law of the bride; Jeff Fetty, Brownsville; Gary Morando and Steve Smith, both of Washington, D.C. Ring bearer was Angelo Martin III of Allison, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh.
The couple went on a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees and a master of public health degree. She is an evaluation associate with the American Red Cross, national headquarters.
The bridegroom received a bachelor of science degree from Penn State University. He is a special investigator with the United States Treasury Department.
The couple is residing in the Washington, D.C. area.
