Steve Sarago Sr., age 84, of Strongsville, Ohio, and formerly of Republic, Pa., a Veteran of the United States Army who served during World War II and retired State Farm Insurance Agent, died April 2, 2003 in Strongsville Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Anna (nee Feelo) Sarago for 61 years; loving father of Cathy Sarago Krabec and husband, William Krabec, of Strongsville, Ohio, and Stephen Sarago and his wife, Naomi, of Hope Avenue in Franklin, Tennessee, and formerly of Ohio; dearest grandfather of Kenneth Krabec, Natalie Sarago, Leah Sarago, Kara Krabec, Emily Sarago and Stephanie Sarago; brother of Agnes Sarago Davison of New Jersey, Jack Sarago of Clarksville, Tennessee, Tom Sarago and his wife, Ann, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Dorothy Sarago of Wisconsin; and a sister-in-law, Florence Feelo Egan of Republic, Pa.

Friends were received at the Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road (at Snow), Strongsville, Ohio, on Friday, April 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Strongsville, at 11 a.m.
