The education council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce honored Joshua Blystone of Adah, a junior at the Fayette Area Vocational-Technical School, as student of the month for March. The son of Robert and Kimberly Blystone, he plans to attend the IBEW Local 5 Apprenticeship Program to major in electronics, and his goal is to become an electrician..

He has gained work experience as a laborer on a local produce farm.

Blystone is a member of the Vocational Industrial Club of America, 4-H and the Quiz Bowl team. He took first place in residential wiring in District 9 VICA.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and citizenship, students of the month are given the opportunity for work-site learning experiences with chamber-member businesses.
