Fayette seeks applications for grant

1 min read

The Fayette County board of commissioners said the 2003 DCNR grant round will be accepting applications, with a formal announcement expected this summer. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) support proposals for recreation and conservation projects thorough technical assistance and grant funding from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program. The Fayette County Office of Planning, Zoning and Community Development will once again offer assistance to municipalities and qualified non-profits that wish to apply for a 2003 DCNR grant.

The deadline for all applications, which will be sometime in the fall, will be announced once the grant round has officially opened.

Interested municipalities and qualified non-profit organizations are urged to begin the planning process for their grant applications as soon as possible to allow appropriate preparation of the grant.

Those interested in receiving assistance in grant preparation are asked to call the Fayette County Office of Planning, Zoning and Community Development at 724-430-1210 to schedule an appointment.
