Robbery reported
Tractor Supply Co. was robbed just before 9 p.m. Sunday, city police said. A female clerk told police that a woman, who was accompanied by a man, grabbed money from the cash register when she was getting the woman change from a candy purchase, police said.

Charges filed
Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment were filed against Stacy Marie Strosnider, 24, of Point Marion, and a warrant has been issued for Kenneth Voshel, 37, of Point Marion charging him with simple assault and harassment in connection with an April 19 incident. State police in Uniontown said Voshel struck Strosnider in the face and choked her at a 106 First St. residence.
Strosnider then stabbed Voshel in the lower abdomen with a kitchen knife. Voshel was treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital. A preliminary hearing for Strosnider, who suffered minor injuries, has been scheduled for June 24 before District Justice Randy Abraham.

Man arrested
Sean Michael Tringes, 24, of 17 N. Mill St., New Salem, was charged with firearms not to be carried without a license following a 1:15 a.m. Saturday traffic stop after a disturbance at Darby’s Pub, city police said.

Warrant arrest
William Earl Smith, 30, of Uniontown was arrested Sunday at 12:15 p.m. by city police on three Fayette County bench warrants and an active state police arrest warrant. Police said they went to 178 E. Main St. to execute the warrants, but Smith ran from the rear of the residence. He led police on a foot chase to Wilson Avenue where he struck an officer before he was taken into custody, police said.

DUI charged
A driving under the influence charge stemming from an April 13 traffic stop on Route 51 was filed against Ricki Sue Hixon, 28, of Uniontown last week, state police said.

Man cited
Christopher Smith of Brownfield was cited for harassment for allegedly grabbing Mary Ann Breakiron of Brownfield by the throat during a fight in the township fire hall at 3 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

Charges filed
Simple assault and harassment charges were filed against Chad Bo Meador, 20, of Charleston, W.Va., and Robert Earl Craft Jr., 22, of Bowie, Md., for allegedly fighting Saturday at 6:54 p.m. during a benefit concert hosted by Rich Farms at the intersection of Gans Woodbridge Road and Brown Lane, state police said.

Man arrested
Christopher Richardson of Brownsville was arrested Monday on a simple assault charge for allegedly striking Christi Chrobak of Richeyville in the head and spitting in her face at 134 Armour St. at 10:40 p.m. Sunday, state police in Belle Vernon. Police are investigating the incident.

Eric Saunders, 24, of 178 Coolspring St. was cited for harassment for allegedly choking Nikkisha Fitzgerald at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, city police said.

City police said someone Susan Kolarik of Coffee Street reported the theft of her Pennsylvania registration plate, RC983N, at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Burglary reported
City police said someone broke into Leonard Tucker’s garage on Connellsville Street and stole a Craftsman lawnmower and a Homelite trimmer. The theft was reported 7:39 p.m. Saturday.

Counterfeit reported
City police said Melvin Morgan reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill from an ATM at the National City Bank on Beeson Avenue at 5:44 p.m. Friday. Police are investigating the case.

Vehicle fire
A 1994 Ford Explorer owned by Terry Neil of Brownsville caught fire in a parking lot along Morgantown Street at 12:20 a.m. Friday, city police said. The Uniontown Fire Department responded to the fire, but the vehicle was destroyed.

State police said a lawn tractor was found along Roger’s Mill Road at 10 a.m. Saturday, and the owner should call the station at 724-439-7111.

Retail theft
State police said the driver of an older model Ford Bronco II left the Dairy Mart in Trotter without paying for $5 in gas at 10:10 p.m. April 17.

Monthly report
The Cumberland Township police received 131 calls from the Greene County 911 Center during the month of April, according to a report from Chief William F. Lewis Sr. filed Monday.
Police responded to eight theft calls, six motor vehicle accidents, five criminal mischief reports, four harassment calls and four traffic violation reports. Additionally, police responded to three cases each of assault, suspicious person calls and disturbance calls, the report said.
Police issued 10 traffic violation citations, charged three people with driving without a license, and charged two people with driving under the influence. Lewis said one charge each was filed for criminal mischief, retail theft, dog law violation, burglary, disorderly conduct, trespassing and driving without financial responsibility.

No injuries
State police said Julie A. Barkefelt, 28, lost control of her vehicle Wednesday at 5:46 p.m. along Route 21, crossed the center line and crashed into a barn owned by Robert Lewis Fuller. Barkefelt was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, police said, and she was not injured in the accident.

State police said someone entered the 135 Washington St. home of Linda and Larry Hagyari of Jefferson between 3:30 and 6 p.m. Saturday and took $275.

Retail theft
State police said someone pumped $5 worth of gasoline at the I-79 Exxon along Route 21 Sunday at 7:25 p.m. and left the scene without paying.

Truck damaged
Robert R. Huffman of Waynesburg told state police someone threw a beer bottle at his windshield while the vehicle was parked along Huffman Hill Road between 10:50 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Theft
State police said someone damaged a vending machine owned by Jimmy Kennedy, 38, of Waynesburg between 1 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday and removed money and soda from the machine.

Hit-and-run probed
Someone told state police that a person driving a tractor-trailer carrying a backhoe along Route 188 struck a guide rail Friday at 9:40 a.m. and fled the scene after damaging the rail.

Charges filed
Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:
– Amber Hileman, 18, of 106 Watt St., with harassment after she allegedly went into a 9th Street restaurant and began making threats of physical violence against an employee of the business on May 2.
– Clarence “Buddy” Nicholson, 19, and Dawn Lilley, 19, both of 513 Johnson Ave., for harassment after they were allegedly found involved in a physical altercation at the residence on April 30. Both received minor injuries.
– Elizabeth K. Ebbert, 20, of 107 E. Crawford Ave. for retail theft after she allegedly tried to remove $14 worth of merchandise from a Memorial Avenue business without paying for the items on May 1.
– Cory Nicholson, 19, of 606 S. Pittsburgh St. for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found in an intoxicated condition along West Fayette Street on March 28.

Theft
A city man was lodged in Fayette County Prison for allegedly stealing a car from a South Arch Street business parking lot.
Scott Brozik, 37, of 306 E. Green St. is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and driving under the influence stemming from the April 28 incident.
Police said after receiving the telephone call in connection to the incident, they found Brozik driving the vehicle and in an intoxicated condition.
Brozik was arraigned before District Justice Ronald Haggerty and lodged in the county prison after failing to post the $5,000 straight cash bond imposed during the hearing.
