Man acquitted A Scottdale man was acquitted of simple assault in the alleged beating of his 17-year-old daughter on Jan. 5.
William Price said he disciplined his daughter, Sheena, and did not abuse her by beating her with a belt as the teen testified.
Sheena Price testified Monday that her father, William Price, first verbally berated her, and then physically abused her when she denied smoking marijuana and having sex. Price testified she rolled up into a ball to protect herself from the beating, but pictures presented by prosecutors Jack R. Heneks Jr. showed bruises on her arms, legs and face.
Assistant Public Defender Mary Campbell Spegar represented 39-year-old Price.
