Charles R. Bogus, age 67, a former resident of Low Hill, Pa., died Wednesday, April l6, 2003 in Claremont, California, his resident the past 20 years. He was born September 26, 1935 in Centerville, Pa., son of John Bogus and Mildred Bartus Bogus.

Charles worked in the glass industry for 371/2 years and retired 12 years ago from Owens-Brockway where he served as a Supervisor.

He was a retired Supervisor at Brockway Glass in Washington, Pa., before his company transferred him to California.

His military service was with the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 and 1961 to 1962.

Charles was a member of Claremont United Methodist Church, the Marshall Canyon Senior Men’s Golf Club, and the San Dimas Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thelma “Jean” Wright Bogus of 1754 Longwood Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711, and his pet miniature schnauzer, “Chadwick”; three brothers: John A. Bogus of Brownsville, Pa., Edward A. Bogus of East Millsboro, Pa., and Alan J. Bogus of Clarksville, Pa.; three nieces and one nephew.

A Memorial Service will be held in Claremont United Methodist Church, Claremont, California, on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 11 a.m.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Society in memory of Charles R. Bogus.
