BULLSKIN TWP. – A Connellsville woman allegedly was providing more than burgers and fries to the customers of a local restaurant, according to charges filed by police. Shawna E. Fisher, 26, of 126 E. Grape Alley was taken into custody Friday at the Memorial Boulevard McDonald’s just shortly before the end of her shift.

Connellsville Cpl. Ronald Haggerty said Fisher offered no resistance when she was removed from the restaurant.

According to the criminal complaint, Fisher aided in the March 23 burglary of the restaurant by allegedly providing a set of keys to two other individuals.

Police said the two men met with Fisher, an assistant manager at the restaurant, and discussed burglarizing the site.

On March 22, the three met at the restaurant to make final preparations for the burglary, with Fisher turning over the keys and stating she would leave open a safe where the money was kept, police allege.

The two individuals told police that they broke the glass on a rear door to “make it look like a forced entry” and removed an unspecified amount of cash from the open safe.

Police said the three agreed to split the money several days later, but when the deal was to be finalized, Fisher opted to wait until a later time.

Haggerty said the money has not been recovered.

Fisher was arraigned Friday before District Justice Robert Breakiron on charges of burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

She was placed in Fayette County Prison after failing to post the $10,000 straight cash bond imposed by Breakiron during the hearing.

A preliminary hearing in the matter was scheduled for May 13.

Haggerty said similar charges will be filed against the two other individuals later.
