Man cited

State police cited Thomas Page, 22, of Uniontown for careless driving after a two-car accident on Gallatin Avenue around 1:30 p.m. April 23. Page, his passenger, Carter Page, 71, of Uniontown, and the driver of the other vehicle, Traci Louis, 33, of Uniontown, suffered minor to moderate injuries, police said.

Hit-and-run probed

State police said someone driving a blue Pontiac Grand Am struck a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Joseph E. Miller, 19, of Uniontown and fled the scene on Route 711 around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Vehicle damaged

A vehicle driven by Tiffany D. Cole, no age or address given, was damaged when a 1999 Nissan Altima, driver unknown, struck the vehicle’s driver’s-side rear bumper along First Street in Continental 3 between April 3 and May 3, state police said.

Purse stolen

Someone stole a purse owned by 23-year-old Kristy Jo Hicks of Masontown from inside the Wal-Mart store Wednesday, state police said.

Four injured

State police said Walisa Annette Isaac, 40, of Brownsville was flown to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 40 and New Salem Road on Tuesday. Isaac’s passenger, Donnie C. Hames of Brownsville, the other vehicle’s operator, Karen E. Tait of Brownfield, and her passenger, JoAnn Wolford of Brownsville, treated at Uniontown Hospital.

Charges filed

Harassment charges were filed against Earl E. Leichliter Jr. of Connellsville after an altercation at a Springfield Pike residence at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, state police said. Police said Trisha Leichliter and Earl E. Leichliter both of Connellsville were victims of the harassment.

No one hurt

A 2000 Dodge Neon driven by Kaity H. Kovach, 17, and a 1996 Dodge truck driven by Ronald R. McElroy, 41, collided Thursday along South Mount Vernon Avenue, in front of District Justice Rick Vernon’s office, state police said.

Burglary reported

City police said Jamie Cahill reported the theft of a Fender electric guitar and about 10 DVDs from his Shady Lane apartment 7:21 p.m. Thursday.

Brownsville

Windows broken

Don Kobaly told Brownsville police Friday at 8:47 a.m. that someone broke a number of windows at the rear of the Snowdon Building, next to the railroad tracks.

Also, police reported that windows were broken at the rear of 504 Pearl St. on May 6 and the rear door screen and glass were also damaged, and the windows at the rear of the Oddfellows Building, along the railroad tracks, were reported broken May 3. Stones from the tracks were used to break the windows.

Attilio Cicconi Jr. told police May 2 that windows were broken at the rear of Fashion Cleaners. Cicconi said the incident occurred while children were playing ball at the nearby park and that stones from the railroad were used.

Citation issued

Brownsville police cited Art Jackson, 45, of 407 Green St., Brownsville, with disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Green Street on May 3.

Man jailed

Brownsville police arrested John W. King, 36, of 146 Main St., West Brownsville, on charges of burglary and theft by unlawful taking for allegedly breaking into the J&G Cigarette Outlet at the Market Street Exxon station around midnight Friday.

Police said they found King lying on a sidewalk near the business. The front window of the store had been shattered with a large rock, King had a gash on his head and police said they found blood inside the store and on the shelves. Officers said they found a black plastic garbage bag containing several cartons of cigarettes and a can of pop next to King.

King was treated at Brownsville General Hospital, arraigned before District Justice Randy Abraham and jailed in lieu of bond.

Man charged

Brownsville police charged James Michaux, 37, of 132 Circle Road, Daisytown, with two counts of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and resisting arrest for an incident May 4.

Police said they followed Michaux after he traveled through the intersection of Brownsville Avenue and Market Street to the Exxon station at 312 Market St. There, police said, officers noticed Michaux had a plastic bag of suspected crack cocaine on the front seat of his vehicle, and he allegedly struggled with officers as they tried to arrest him.

Diane Haddad of 547 National Pike East told Brownsville police May 7 at 7:33 p.m. that someone took her green Craftsman mower from her porch.

Suspected crack found

An employee of the Fayette County Housing Authority found two pieces of suspected crack cocaine in a unit at Snowden Terrace. The incident was reported to Brownsville police May 7 at 9:50 a.m.

Pedestrian struck

Someone driving a white sedan, possibly a Grand Am, struck pedestrian Dayna McMaster, 25, of 801 High St. in the 400 block of High Street at 2:16 a.m. May 4, Brownsville police said. She was flown to Allegheny General Hospital after suffering memory loss, police said.

A black man wearing dark clothing and a stocking cap over his face reportedly took an undetermined amount of money from the A-Plus on High Street at 4:02 a.m. May 7.

Janice Ritsko of 509 Baltimore St. told police May 6 that $2,000 was taken from her purse, possibly by someone known to her.

Brownsville police said someone removed more than $700 in cigarettes from the Exxon station on Market Street. The incident was reported at 1:24 a.m. May 5.

Harry Horner of 7 18th St., Brownsville, told police that someone vandalized his vehicle and removed a duffle bag containing his wallet May 3 at 6:34 a.m.

According to state police, no one was injured when vehicles operated by Regis Himel, 54, and Paul Swartz, 33, crashed at the intersection of Route 119 and Route 51 Friday at 6:45 a.m.

State police said Diane Seese of Uniontown suffered moderate injuries when a vehicle operated by Jerri Jones of Uniontown struck her in a parking lot along North Gallatin Avenue Saturday.

State police said charges were filed against David Elias of Smock after he allegedly struck Dawn Millholland of Hibbs in the face at 531 Summit St. Saturday at 8:14 p.m.

Window smashed

William Lynch of Connellsville told state police that someone smashed the rear window of his vehicle as it was parked in a lot in South Union Township between midnight and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

State police said no one was injured when a vehicle operated by Barbara Brecht of Daisytown crashed along the onramp to Route 70 from the Speers Exit Saturday.

Man cited

State police said Robert Grimm, 23, of Mill Run was cited for harassment after he grabbed Leslie Miller, 41, also of Mill Run by the throat after a non-reportable accident Friday at 6:30 a.m.

Charges filed

State police said charges were filed against Brandi Shaffer, 26, of Uniontown and Richard Stefan, 26, of Connellsville after the two were involved in a dispute at 612 Woodview Terrace Thursday at 4:35 p.m.

According to state police, Karen Cornish of New Salem was cited for disorderly conduct after she allegedly was playing loud music at a First Street residence Friday at 5:03 p.m.

Man charged

Ronald Marazsky of Uniontown was charged for driving while under the influence of alcohol before District Justice Nancy Vernon after he was stopped for a traffic violation along Derrick Avenue Friday at 11:20 p.m., state police said.

No one was injured when a vehicle operated by Christopher Bennet of Waltersburg crashed in a parking lot along Route 21 April 27 at 9:11 p.m., state police said.

Pauline Case of Lemont Furnace told state police that a juvenile known to her drove a dirt bike through her garden at 164 Percy Lane Saturday at noon.

State police said someone driving a white truck struck a vehicle driven by Marianne Dauria of Connellsville in a parking lot along New Salem Road and then fled the scene Friday at 7 p.m.

Vehicles collide

According to state police, vehicles operated by Lori Hackney, 23, and Brain Krichbaum, 38, collided along Route 21 Saturday at 6:25 p.m. Krichbaum and passenger Sandy Thomas suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

One-car crash

State police said no one was injured when a vehicle operated by Gregg Barkley, 19, crashed into an embankment along Grindstone Road Saturday at 4:20 p.m.
