Frank M. Kalafsky Sr.
Frank M. Kalafsky Sr., age 89, of Oakhurst, New Jersey, formerly of Mather, Pa., who was born in Masontown, Pa., graduated from Mapletown High School in 1932, United States Navy Veteran of World War II, Store Manager at Penn Pitt Supply Company for 14 years, moved to Mather in 1946 and worked for Hamilton Supply Company 18 years, moved to Pittsburgh (Pa.) in 1965, then worked at Horne’s Department Store 13 years, and moved in 2001 to Oakhurst, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey. On September 18, 1935 he married Jane E. Cox Kalafsky, who survives. Also surviving are two children: Frank M. Kalafsky Jr. and Marion Kay Kalafsky both of Oakhurst, New Jersey; grandchildren: Karen Kalafsky Morren of Lamoine, Maine, and Kurt Kalafsky of Howell, New Jersey; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Kalafsky Eddy of Waynesburg, Pa.; and a brother, Steve Kalafsky of Greensboro, Pa.
Friends will be received in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory Rohanna, Supervisor, on Wednesday, May 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 15, until the Service at 11 a.m.
