Arthur D. Stoner
Arthur “Art” D. Stoner, 68, of Wadsworth, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from his residence. Born (September 1, 1934) and raised in Davistown, Greene County, Pa., (Mapletown Schools), he was a resident of Mogadore, Ohio, for 39 years.
“Art” retired on January 1, 1985 after 32 years at Ford Motor Company’s Walton Hills Stamping Plant as a Die Hooker.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, roller skating, dancing and bowling.
“Art” was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Raymond Stoner and Lew Hazel Moser Stoner, his wife of 42 years, Beverly (nee Yates) Stoner, sisters, Lucy Stoner Downey and Eva Stoner, brother, Evans Stoner.
He is survived by two daughters: Amy (Mrs. David) Arthur of Doylestown, Ohio, and Beth (Mrs. Philip) Romich of Wadsworth, Ohio; grandchildren: Joshua Romich and Hannah Romich; sisters: Mary Leu Hajde and Mildred King; brothers: Holmes Stoner, Charles Stoner, Eugene Stoner and Freddie Stoner.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in JERUSALEM EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 9282 Acme Road, Seville, Ohio, where the Family will receive Friends two hours prior to the Service. The Rev. Lindsey Hayes will officiate.
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Salem, Ohio, on Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. Mr. Harold Arthur, Minister, will officiate.
