Frank Jones
Frank “Big Boy” Jones, age 88, of Ralph, Pa., died Monday morning, May 12, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. He was born October 11, 1914 in Bessemer, Alabama, son of Genie and Winnie Jones.
Frank served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon, and the Bronze Star.
He was predeceased by his wife, Odessa Jones, on February 5, 1987, stepdaughter, Carla Still on January 25, 2003, and his parents.
He is survived by two stepsons: Arthur Crable and Dallas Crable both of Monterey, California; brother, Clarence Jones of Grindstone, Pa.; five grandchildren; one great grandson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 17, until the Service at 11 a.m. The Rev. George Cooper will officiate.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
