Merton Wygant Crichton

Merton Wygant Crichton, 96, of Winter Park, Florida, originally from Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Mount Lebanon, Pa., husband of the late Sofi Clark Crichton, died Saturday, March 29, 2003. He was born April 23, 1906 in Altoona, Pa., son of Arthur M. and Susan Crichton.

He retired from Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania in 1971 and was a Life Member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.

He received his first Amateur Radio License in 1921 and was a member of The Quarter Century Wireless Association in Orlando, Florida.

He was the loving father of Arthur C. Crichton and his wife, Sally, and Merton James Crichton and his wife, Nancy; grandfather of Carolyn, Steve, Sharon and her husband Matt; great grandfather of Benjamin Bond; and brother of Jean Bradley and her husband Bill of Surprise, Arizona, and the late Arthur L. Crichton.

Friends will be received at the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Saturday, May 17, 2003 from 10:30 a.m. until the Service at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
