Freda Ball Murray, 80, of Orlando, Florida, died Friday, May 2, 2003. She was born June 25, 1922 in Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Milton J. Ball and Florence Broadwater Ball.

Freda graduated in 1940 from Jefferson High School, Jefferson, Pa.

With her husband, a career Army officer, she lived in many places around the world and loved the life of a military wife, enjoying every tour. They retired in Orlando in 1966.

Mrs. Murray was an avid sports fan, card player and gardener.

In 1945, she married Everett R. Murray, who is deceased. Also deceased are a son, Dan, four brothers, Charles, Earl, Dave and Dick Ball, and her parents.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristy; a son, Jay; a sister, Dot Ball Wagener, and a brother, Bob Ball, both of Waynesburg, Pa.

Burial was on Tuesday, May 6, in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando.
