Eva Jean Minder Davis, 84, of Schafers Corner, Uniontown, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 15, 2003 in LaFayette Manor. She was born January 30, 1919 in Rockwood, Pa., daughter of Charles O. Minder and Nellie Brown Minder.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Uniontown Church of Christ, graduate of Rockwood High School Class of 1936, attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pa., and became an accomplished Seamstress and Artist.

Her husband, Beryl Davis, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are three children: Jimmie D. Davis of Fort Worth, Texas and Uniontown, Pa., Michelle Hixson and husband, David R., of Schafers Corner, and Robin Davis and fianc’, Gerald Bucy, of Franklin, Tennessee; four grandchildren: James Davis of Rockville, Maryland, Shellie Cantrell and husband, Randy, of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeremy Hixson and wife Leslie, of York Beach, Maine, and Zachery Hixson of Schafers Corner whom they call their beloved Dabu; one great grandchild, Graydon Hixson; one sister, Margaret Glover and husband, Harry, of Ledyard, Connecticut; also many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
