Kenneth S. Densmore
Kenneth S. Densmore, age 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 17, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born June 24, 1919 in North Union Township, Fayette County, Pa., to Charles Densmore and Ethel Cramer Densmore.
“Ken” had worked for Liberty Powder Company and retired as a Security Guard from Steel Scaffolding, Uniontown.
He served with the United States Army during World War II and was a member of V. F. W. Post 47.
Two brothers, Harold and Frank Densmore, two sisters, Helen Mitchell and Virginia Jackson, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn Pearl McCune Densmore; a son, Kenneth L. Densmore and his wife, Cathy, of Uniontown; a daughter, Shirley Costabile and her husband, Alex, of York, Pa.; two grandchildren: Steven Costabile and Emily Densmore; two great grandchildren: Lauren Costabile and Alex Costabile; a brother, Albert M. Densmore and his wife, Lenora, of Uniontown; a sister, Marguerite Avera of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where Friends will be received today from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 21, visitation will continue from 10 until 11 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by V. F. W. Post 47 at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
