Passenger hospitalized
Tracy Lynn Tarr, 29, of Uniontown the passenger who was flown to UPMC hospital from the scene of a Monday night accident on New Salem Road in which the driver died, remains in serious condition.
State police in Uniontown said the driver, Troy Allen Knox, 31, of Uniontown died in the accident. He attempted to pass another vehicle at approximately 7:20 p.m. when he struck a guide rail. Neither he nor Tarr were wearing seatbelts and both were ejected from the 1979 Ford pickup truck he was driving, police said.
Knox of Stoney Point Road was pronounced dead at Uniontown Hospital. The Fayette County Coroner’s office said he died from blunt force trauma injuries.

Guns stolen
State police said 14 shotguns and rifles worth approximately $6,805 were stolen from Caney Valley Sport Shop on Caney Valley Road between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. Police said unknown suspects broke in through the front door. Police ask anybody with information to call the station at 724-439-7111.

Girl missing
City police said 16-year-old Amanda Hoyman was reported missing Wednesday by her mother Linda Lee Stockton of Park Avenue. Hoyman, who is six months pregnant, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. wearing blue jeans, a blue top and black and white tennis shoes.

Truck burned
A 2003 Chevrolet truck owned by Mark Downs Jr. of Dunbar was found destroyed by a fire about a quarter mile from Ross Street in Smithfield on Sunday, state police said.

A Jensen radio and CD player were stolen from a car owned by Michael T. Majors of West Berkeley Street, Uniontown, Wednesday in the Super 8 Motel parking lot, state police said.

State police in Waynesburg said Joseph Zvonkovich’s Bobtown home was vandalized and a Skill reciprocating saw was stolen between May 14 and 17.

Man charged
Scott McMasters, 21, of Waynesburg was charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly shoving Stacy Jane Inghram at 123 Mountanview Gardens, causing her to fall to the ground Tuesday at 3:05 p.m., state police said.

A half-carrot diamond ring was stolen from Tracy Bourdon’s home in Farmington between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Someone stole Kelly Snyder’s purse from the kitchen of her Collins Avenue home Tuesday between 8 and 9:30 p.m., city police said. The purse contained her driver’s license, a bankcard, cash and other items.

Accident investigated
State police investigated a 5:35 p.m. Tuesday accident at the intersection of Gimlet Hill and Prittstown roads. Neither of the drivers, Donna McKetta, 46, nor Clyde Kimmel, 72, were injured.

State police said a car driven by Michael Skala of Dunbar caught fire on York Run Road at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday. He was not injured, but the car was severely damaged.

Sarah Jane Patterson, no age given, of Fairbank was cited for allegedly making repeated harassing phone calls to Robin Gay Smith of Reppert Boulevard between April 20 and May 17, state police said.

Cigarettes stolen
State police said one woman distracted a clerk at Bb’s Market on East Main Street on May 15 while another woman stole a carton of Newport cigarettes. They fled in a red car bearing Pennsylvania registration BGM-2792.

State police said a child seat fitting station will be held at Belle Vernon State Police barracks from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Juveniles charged
Borough police said charges were filed against two teenagers from Frazier School District who allegedly made bomb threats to both middle and high schools March 4 and March 18. The 14- and 15-year-olds were charged with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and criminal conspiracy Wednesday in the juvenile office of the Fayette County Courthouse.

According to a report, borough police in April issued four traffic violations, one parking citation and 11 traffic warnings; made three court appearances and one arrest; and reported three alcohol/drug violations, two disorderly conduct incidents, four harassment cases and one housing code violation. Police patrolled 1,465 miles.

State police said they arrested Carl Dulaney, 47, of Waynesburg for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of High Street and Montgomery Avenue at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday.
