Mildred Bates Matusky, 75, of Lake Lynn, Pa., died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital.

She was born June 9, 1927, in Mapletown, Pa., daughter of the late Charles Edward Bates and Anna Mae Balsinger Bates.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Tom Matusky on April 9, 2002; and four brothers, Bill, Edward, David and Gunner.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Hankinson and her husband, Norbert of Lake Lynn, and Beverly Kay Keller and friend, Ed of Manassas, Va.; her only grandson, Tony Hankinson of Lake Lynn; several nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Dorothy Bates of Waynesburg, Gladys and her husband, Eugene Stoner of North Canton, Oho, and Maggie and her husband, Tom Hillen of Waynesburg.

Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main St., Point Marion, on Sunday, May 25, 2003, from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of the service in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. R. Scott Teets officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
