Mr. and Mrs. Christopher S. Simon of Gibbon Glade Road, Farmington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen S. Simon of Fairfax, Va., to Christopher M. Coy of Woodbridge, Va., The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Oakland Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and a 2002 graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in American government. She graduated with distinction and is also a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and the Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society. She interned in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill.

She will attend Widener University School of Law in August to pursue government law.

Her fianc’ is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael B. Coy of Lindendale Road, Woodbridge, Va. He is a 1998 graduate of Cecil D. Hylton High School and a 2003 graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., with a major in administration of justice and a minor in information technology. He will also attend Widener University School of Law in August.

They will reside at 1945 Daybreak Circle, Harrisburg, following their marriage on Aug. 2. The ceremony will take place at Heinz Chapel in Pittsburgh.
