Calvary Church of the Nazarene, California, was the setting for the marriage of Michele Lynnette DeBord and Leonard Hayes Yokiel Jr., both of East Millsboro. The Rev. Robert Ingland officiated at the Dec. 14 nuptial ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Winona L. DeBord of East Millsboro and the late Fred DeBord Sr. Parents of the bridegroom are Josephine and Leonard H. Yokiel Sr. of Grindstone.

The bride was escorted to the alter by her brother-in-law, Ronald K. Shillings Sr. of Hookstown.

She wore an ivory satin, strapless, A-line gown with Bolero jacket accented with champagne metallic embroidery, adorned with pearls and crystals. Her veil was a halo of ivory and champagne flowers accented with pearls and crystals, and edged with ivory satin.

Matron-of-honor was Janet Stanley, sister of the bridegroom. Bridesmaid was Barbara R. DeBord, sister of the bride.

Junior bridesmaids were Amanda Glover, niece of the bridegroom and Rachel Jean Campbell, great-niece of the bride. Flower girl was Hannah Elisabeth Campbell, great-niece of the bride. Ring bearers were Leah Michele Campbell, great-niece of the bride, and J.J. Glover, nephew of the bridegroom.

Best man was Joseph Yokiel Sr., brother of the bridegroom, and groomsman was Robert DeBord, brother of the bride.

A reception was held at the University of California, Performance Center, California.

The couple honeymooned in Williamsburg, Va.

They currently reside in East Millsboro where the bride is a homemaker and the bridegroom is employed by U.S. Xpress.
