Evelyn R. “Mrs. T” Tesauro

Evelyn R. “Mrs. T” Tesauro, 71, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away Monday, May 26, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital.

She was born Aug. 22, 1931, in Phillips, Pa., daughter of the late Earl and Sara Lilley Herbert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Tesauro; and two sisters and four brothers, Viola Jean Herbert, Earl Herbert Jr., Charles Herbert, Wilda Weaver, Melvin Herbert and James Herbert.

She was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, and a graduate of North Union High School.

Along with her husband, “Mrs. T” owned and operated Shady Grove Park for over 25 years. They recently retired from Shady Grove after turning the reins over to their oldest son and daughter-in-law. Her friendly smile and dedication will be sadly missed at the Pool.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, James R. Tesauro Jr.; four sons, James R. Tesauro III and wife, Toni of Lemont Furnace, Jeff L. Tesauro and wife, Gina of Uniontown, Jan R. Tesauro and wife, Jeanette of Markleysburg, and Joseph R. Tesauro and wife, Pam of Lemont Furnace; seven grandchildren, James R. IV, Marissa, Brandi, Shannon, Alexandrea, Katlyn and Rusty; two sisters, Leona Livingston of Pittsburgh, and Sara Stephens of Lemont Furnace; a brother, Kenneth Herbert and his wife, Elaine of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today until 9 a.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
