Teen missing
City police said Joseph Miller, 15, of 129 E. Askren St. was reported missing just before midnight Sunday. His mother Roberta Miller described him as 5-feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes and a blue and white ball cap when last seen.

Handgun found
City street department workers flagged down police officers at 5:52 a.m. Monday at the corner of Main Street and Beeson Avenue and reported that they found handgun on a planter at the intersection. Police said it was a silver colored .25-caliber pistol.

Car damaged
All four doors on a car owned by Virginia Lowery of 35 Lebanon Ave. were found damaged at 7:29 p.m. Sunday at her home, city police said.

Sinkers thrown
Fishing sinkers were thrown through windows at two homes Sunday, city police said. The first incident was at Holly Fisher’s 20 Johnson Ave. home at 8:14 p.m. The second was at Cherry E. Waynette’s 320 W. Main St. home at 8:25 p.m.

A window on Ptak’s facing South Street was broken over the weekend, city police said. The damage was discovered at 7 a.m. Sunday.

ATV recovered
An ATV, which was reported stolen to state police, was found abandoned at 163 Liberty St. at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, city police said.

Assault reported
City police said Kenneth Henry Collins of 180 Coolspring St. reported that a known male punched him in the face at his residence at 1:38 p.m. Sunday.

Wheelchair stolen
A black, electric wheel chair owned by Eloise Baker, was reported stolen from 91 Walnut St., Apt. 2, at 1:34 p.m. Saturday, city police said.

Burglary reported
Someone broke into a garage at Michele Arthur’s 77 E. Highland Ave. home and stole a rototiller, city police said. The incident was reported at 6:23 p.m. Saturday.
