BPW Club attends state seminar in Harrisburg

Seven members of the District 12, Washington, Fayette and Green counties, Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, attended the Women In Government Seminar and Luncheon of the Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Club Inc. (BPW/Pa.) held at the Four Points Sheraton in Harrisburg.

Keynote speaker for the event was Pennsylvania First Lady Judge Marjorie O. Rendell who gave an inspiring speech on “Civics and Citizenship” from her perspective as both a judge and the first lady of Pennsylvania.

She also answered questions from the floor.

Seminar presenters included Leslie Stiles, executive director of the Pennsylvania Women’s Commission who spoke on her goal of serving as a strong advocate for women’s rights, and a S.C.O.R.E. representative who discussed “How to start your own business.”
