Hazel E. Chaney, 76, of Connellsville, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Select Specialty Hospital, Greensburg. She is survived by four sons, Edward Chaney and wife, Deborah of Scottdale, Howard Chaney Jr., and wife, Deborah of Connellsville, Emmert Chaney and wife, Debra of Connellsville, and LaFayette Chaney and wife, Tammy of Connellsville; two daughters, Gladys Brown of Camp Hill, Pa., and Alverta Herbert and husband, Ronald of Dunbar; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Giles of Pittsburgh, and James and Paul Giles, both of Indiana; three sisters, Mabel Sanner of Connellsville, Minnie Bryner of Pittsburgh, and Dorothy Hall of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, today and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of the funeral service.
