Edward K. Muscavitch

Edward K. Muscavitch, age 56, of Clarksville died Tuesday, November 18, 2003, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle/car accident near Jefferson on Route 188. He was born March 27, 1947, in Brownsville, a son of Edward W. Muscavitch of California, Pa., and the late Mavis Smith Muscavitch.

Mr. Muscavitch graduated in 1966 from Bethlehem-Center High School. He was a water treatment operator for Koppers Industries in Monessen.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Muscavitch was a member of United Steel Workers Union #3403, and the Harley’s Owners Group.

On November 14, 1969, he married Mary Ellen McDonald, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Bryan David Muscavitch, of Clarksville; two sisters, Mavis Haladyna of Clarksville, and Lorraine Hanyok of Jefferson, Ohio; a step-sister, Donna Longhi, of Weirton, W.Va.; three step-brothers, Michael Horvath of Florida, James Horvath of Meadowlands and Bob Horvath of California; a mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Ellen Barton McDonald, of California; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, the hour of services in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson Road, Waynesburg. Graveside military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #954 of Jefferson.
