Frank W. Cornish Jr.
Frank Wade Cornish Jr., 78, of Brownfield, Pa., died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born June 2, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Frank Wade Cornish Sr., and Margaret Brocius Cornish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Harrison and Mae Favor and two brothers, Raymond and Fred Cornish.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Doris Betty Banfer Cornish; three sons, Donald W. Cornish and his wife, Marie of New Port Richey, Fla., Barry R. Cornish and his wife, Joanne of Easton, Pa., and Brian D. Cornish and his wife, Peggy of Cobina, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clark Cornish of Little Ferry, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was a member of the American Legion Post No. 51 of Uniontown, Pa., and he was a retired electrician.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Harrison Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post No. 51, Uniontown, Pa.
