John Robin Workman, 61, of Newton Hamilton, Pa., and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003. He was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Everett, Pa., son of the late Charles L. and Ruth Miller Workman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Katherine Koast Workman in 2001, and one brother, L. Charles Workman.

John worked as a machinist for Duquesne Light Company, and owned and operated a bike shop in Carmichaels, Pa.

He was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Masontown.

Surviving are a son, Robert Charles Workman of Fayetteville, W.Va.; a daughter, Robin Maines of Mount Union, Pa.; three grandchildren, Kolten Robert Workman, John Robert Maines and Sara Katherine Maines; two sisters, Jane Summers of Amesville, Ohio, and Peggy Yoder of McVeytown, Pa.; and one brother, Daniel Workman of Morgantown, W.Va.

Friends will be received in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main St., Masontown, today from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, in the Masontown Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Nelson Roth officiating. Interment will follow in Jacob’s Lutheran Cemetery.
