Ethel Sinko
Ethel Sinko, 91, of Brownsville, Pa., (Malden) died at 7:45 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 4, 1912, in Daisytown, Pa. a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Kayatin Illar.
Mrs. Sinko had been employed as a cook at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant on Route 40, in Centerville, for more than 30 years before retiring.
She had been a member of the Daisytown United Presbyterian Church, and the Vestaburg Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Vargo of Florida, Mary Fincout of Fairhaven, N.Y., and two nephews, Dennis Illar and his wife Michelle of Malden with whom Mrs. Sinko made her home and James Illar and his wife Cynthia also of Malden.
Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband, Steve Sinko; a son Francis Sinko; one brother, Frank Illar; and one sister Helen Reilly.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main St. Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, with the Rev. Alexander Jalso officiating.
