Frances J. Twigger
Frances Jane (Lewis) Twigger, 75, of Churchton, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, in Baltimore, Md. She was born October 7, 1928, in Grindstone, Pa., daughter of the late Clarence R. and Sarah M. Layhew Lewis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Keith Twigger; two sisters, Matilda Teegarden and Edna Addis; and four brothers, Clarence, Steward, Ernest, and Ralph Lewis.
She is survived by a son Gerald Keith Twigger and wife Carolyn of Churchton, Md.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Wilma Twigger of Chartiers, Pa., and Robert and Esther Balsinger of Uniontown.
She was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church of Grindstone, and Suttersville, Pa. She was an employee of Mt. Macrina Manor for many years in the Dietary Department.
Friends will be received in the JAMES D. BARNETT FUNERAL HOME, 196 W. Main St., Uniontown, on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, in the funeral home, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bernard Murphy officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
