Jesse R. “John” Cable Jr., 79, of Orchard Avenue, and lifelong resident of Scottdale, Pa., Veteran of the United States Navy Seabees who served during World War II in the Philippines, and retired Pump Tender from United States Steel Corporation’s Clairton Works with 38 years service, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, November 29, 2003 in his residence. He is survived by four children: Sue Ann and husband Dennis Cavanaugh of Scottdale R. D. 1, Pa., Heidi B. and husband John Aubel of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Jeffrey R. Cable of Scottdale, Pa., and Heather B. and husband Doug Sabatino of North Huntingdon, Pa.; grandchildren: Scott R. Cavanaugh of Pittsburgh, Pa., Sherrie Thropp and husband Scott of Greensburg, Pa., Holly B. Morgan and husband Clinton of Acme, Pa., Timothy P. Aubel of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Alex Cable of Youngwood, Pa., and Jordan Sabatino of McKeesport, Pa.; one great grandson; sister, Betty Cable Williams of Mendon; brother, George Cable of Oklahoma; sisters-in-law: Charlotte Cable of Ohio, Verna Cable of Normalville, Pa., Sally Galloway, Dolores Mulroy and Kathleen Sethman all of Scottdale, Pa.; brothers-in-law: Donald Mulroy of Connellsville, Pa., and Harry “H” Strictler of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; Nieces and nephews.

Family will greet Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 2, until the Service at 11 a.m.
