Joseph A. Beatty
Joseph A. “Joe” Beatty, 72, of Dunbar, Pa., died Friday, November 28, 2003 in the H. John Heinz Veterans Hospital, Aspinwall, Pa.
He was born September 28, 1931 in Lemont Furnace, Pa., son of Russell Beatty and Bessie Hull Beatty.
Joseph was a member of Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Dunbar.
He was a retired self-employed Television and Electrical Appliance Repairman previously with Troutman Company.
“Joe” graduated from the former North Union Township High School in Uniontown, Pa., and was a Veteran of the United States Navy who served during the Korean Conflict.
“He will be sadly missed and his memories cherished by his wife and family!”
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Alexander Beatty; Daughter, Diane Boyer and husband Charles of Greensburg, Pa.; Son, David Beatty and wife Cheryl of Chicago, Illinois; Grandsons and Best Buddies: Devin Boyer and Andrew Boyer; Sisters: Jessie Jones of Latrobe, Pa., and Faye Palumbo of Bradenville, Pa.; Sisters-in-law: Lorraine Beatty of Dunbar, Pa., and Faye Beatty of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; Brother-in-law, Jim Collins of Lemont Furnace; several Nieces and Nephews.
Three brothers, Ralph, Robert “Bob”, and George, Sisters, Fern Collins and Vernie Hair, and parents preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. where Morning Prayers will be said Tuesday, December 2, at 9 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Ranch Road, Dunbar, with Rev. Fr. J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
The Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home on Monday at 4 p.m.
