Rose Lee Crawford Brown
Rose Lee Crawford Brown, 63, of Uniontown, Pa., was called home Friday, August 29, 2003.
She was born April 26, 1940 in Footedale, Pa., the daughter of Cora Kinney Kemp of Buffington, Pa., and the late Archie Crawford.
Rose graduated from Uniontown High School.
She was an avid painter and also enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She was a member of Mount Olivet Church and the church choir.
Rose was also a member of the Curry-Dyson V. F. W. where she cooked for members and the community.
She was employed at Sue Birt’s Personal Care home and as a Nurses’s Aide at Uniontown Hospital for many years.
Her husband, Ervin A. Brown, and father preceded her in death.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her beloved son, Eric Lee Brown and his fianc?e, Terry A. White, of Uniontown, Pa.; granddaughter, Maia M. Clark of Connellsville, Pa.; a sister, Gail Kemp Peterson of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother, James Kemp of Buffington, Pa.; a special aunt, Mary Brown of Uniontown, Pa.; special nieces nephews: Robin Kemp, John Michael Kemp, Alfredo Russell, Raymond Peterson and Joshua Peterson; brothers-in-law: Burnet N. Brown of Uniontown, Pa., Leroy C. Brown of Fairbanks, Alaska, Raymond Peterson of Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Edna E. Brown of Buffington, Pa.; a special friend, Betty Jackson of Uniontown, Pa.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 3, at 11 a.m. in Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Stewart Avenue with Rev. Vincent Winfrey officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
