Man acquitted A 38-year-old Uniontown man was acquitted of aggravated assault and convicted of simple assault Wednesday in Fayette County Court.

William H. Hart of 34 Coffey Street was charged with hitting Shaun Davis in the face with a metal club last Sept. 14 during a scuffle in the area of 45 Lenox Street.

Hart will be sentenced at a later date.
