UNITED MINE WORKERS OF AMERICA, Local 1248, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Footedale Fire Hall. UNIONTOWN SENIOR CITIZENS monthly dance will be held Monday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Uniontown VFW Post 47, West Main Street. Theme is “Autumn Leaves.’ Bill Francis Orchestra will provide music. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
FREE SPIRIT GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTRY will be in concert Sunday at the White Covered Bridge Festival at Garards Fort at 11 a.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Newell, at 7 p.m.
AMERICAN LEGION POST 51, Uniontown, is holding an amateur stand-up contest Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight. Contestant will have a chance to win a prize. Members and guests are invited. A DJ will spin records.
HOPWOOD GARDEN CLUB will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hopwood Free Methodist Church. Rose Ann Bodkin, master gardener, will be the guest speaker.
ST. MARY’S ROSARY SOCIETY AND HOLY NAME SOCIETY, Leckrone, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
