Eleanor (Koztoski) Rye Micozzi, 83, of Paisley, Carmichaels, Pa., died suddenly on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born on December 28, 1919 in Star City, West Virginia, daughter of Walter and Victoria Koztoski.

Eleanor was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 1623, and The Italian Ladies Circle.

She was the owner of the “Top Hat Lounge and Motel”, a family business for the past 53 years, which she and her husband, “Ab” operated together until his death in 1989.

A genuine, thoughtful and lovely lady, Eleanor had a great zest for life and enjoyed her work which brought so many lasting friendships. She will be sadly missed and leaves an abundance of warm and cherished memories!

Her parents, husband, Albert “Ab” Rye Micozzi, and a brother, Chester Koztoski preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children: Alberta Sigwalt and husband, Ronald, of Olney, Maryland, Karen Urchasko and husband, James, of New Market, Maryland, and Albert “Butch” Micozzi and wife, Darlene, of Carmichaels, Pa.; four grandchildren: Scott Sigwalt and wife Terri, Kelly (Sigwalt) Bensen and husband Clark, Eric Sigwalt, and Jason Urchasko; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Edmund Koztoski of Thonotosassa, Florida; a sister, Bernice Rankin of Point Marion, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, September 22, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, the Fayette County Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center, or a favorite local charity of your choice.

All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers and CD of A Court No. 1623 will recite the Rosary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7t o 9 p.m.
