Edward S. Baker
Edward S. Baker, 91, of Farmington, Pa., passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born April 30, 1912 in Farmington, Pa., son of the late Charles H. and Maude Belle Fazenbaker Baker.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by four sisters, Martha Fields, Edna Tissue, Florence Frazee and an infant sister Ruth Baker.
Ed was a member of Farmington Free Methodist Church and was a retired copper miner with Anacoda Minerals Company in Butte, Montana, retiring in 1974. He was also a member of Mt. Senior Action Group.
Surviving are his wife Kathryn Conaway Baker and five children; Lea and Cecil Sheppard of Wenatchee, Washington, Lou and Charles Surplis of Baltimore, Maryland, Bob and Alice Bowman of Farmington, Doris and Charles Clifton of Conrad, Montana and Allen and Kathy Baker of Butte, Montana; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday in Farmington Free Methodist Church from 10 to 11 a.m. the hour of the service with Rev. Dale Rexrode and Elmer Hall officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
