Performance scheduled The first in a series of musical performances hosted by Waynesburg College will feature the Latin jazz group Escuche on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Performing Arts Center.
Escuche, a 10-piece Latin jazz group based out of West Virginia and Maryland, has performed since 2000 and is featured at the West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival. The band plays a unique brand of Latin jazz featuring Cuban rhythms such as the Son Montuno and the Guaracha, as well as more contemporary rhythms such as the Songo.

Visitation planned
Waynesburg College will host fall visitation days for high school students and their families on Monday, Oct. 13, Saturday, Oct. 25, and Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The admissions office will host campus tours, meetings with faculty and meetings with representatives of the financial aid and admissions offices. Refreshments will be served and lunch will be provided.
The Oct. 25 visitation day will coincide with the college’s Family Day. The special activities and events also will be offered to prospective students.
