Michael “Mike” Zella, 91, of West Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, September 25, 2003. He was born December 1, 1911 in California, Pa., son of John and Amelia (Terem) Zella.

His wife, Anna M. Zella, died in 1986. Also deceased are five brothers, John “Blackie” Zella, Paul Zella, William Zella, Andrew Zella, Joe Zella, and parents.

“Mike” was the last remaining member of his immediate family.

Left to cherish his memory are nieces: Dorothy Trenk of California, Pa., Mildred Amato of Lancaster, Ohio, Janet Zella of Bethel Park, Pa., Elsie Ferencz of West Mifflin, Pa., Bernadine Shaneyfelter of Greensburg, Pa., and Mary Ann Lasko of Munhall, Pa.; and nephew, Paul Zella Jr. of Clairton, Pa.

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., today, September 28, until 1:30 p.m.

An Order of Christian Burial follows at 2 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Washington Avenue, Charleroi, Pa., with the Rev. Beverly Banyay as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery, California, Pa.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
