William McNair, 82, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., died Thursday, April 22, 2004 in the Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, Pa. He was born June 21, 1921, in Somerfield, Somerset County, Pa., son of Joseph Daniel McNair and Mary Catherine Mathia McNair.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Freda Johnson McNair; children: Shirley Mitchell and her husband Pastor Paul Mitchell of California, Pa., William McNair Jr. and close friend Sylvia of Mount Pleasant, Pa., and Sherry Kinkead at home; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. William was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Friend will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 26, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Stradling and his son-in-law, Pastor Paul Mitchell, co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Confluence, Pa.

Military Honors will be accorded in the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.
