Ann Frances Radovich Palaisa

Ann Frances Radovich Palaisa, 93, of Newboro, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Brownsville General Hospital.

She was born December 21, 1910, in Brownfield, Pa., a daughter of Joseph Radovich and Mary Stiglic Radovich.

Ann was a member of Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, Pa., and Croatian Fraternal Union No. 528, Republic, Pa.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald J. Palaisa in 1975, a grandson, Allen Palaisa, sisters, Mary Bezilla and Catherine Radovich, and brothers, Joseph, John, Matthew, Frank, George, Anthony and Adam Radovich.

Surviving are seven sons and one daughter: Ed Palaisa and wife Helen of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Robert Palaisa and wife Delores of Garfield Heights, Ohio, Donald Palaisa and wife Mary Jo of New Salem, Pa., Thomas Palaisa of Newboro, Pa., Louis Palaisa of Willoughby, Ohio, Marian Palaisa Nopwasky and husband Ron of Carmichaels, Pa., Vincent Palaisa of New Salem, Pa., and Eugene Palaisa of Newboro, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Ed Palaisa, Lisa Harvilla, Don Palaisa Jr., Sharon Peters, Ronald Nopwasky, Todd Nopwasky, Keith Nopwasky; great-grandchildren: Travis Palaisa, Emilee Harvilla, Jim, Kelley, Crystal, Cheryl and Andrew; and three great great-grandchildren; sisters, Madelyn Kitta of Newboro, Pa., Thelma Churey and husband John and Frances Marshall and husband Robert all of Boynton Beach, Florida; and a brother, William Radovich and wife, Chris of Tampa, Fla.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today (Monday, April 26) until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. Kenneth G. Zaccagnini, V. F., as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ann’s name to Saint Procopius Cemetery upkeep.

Visitation was also held Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Parish Wake Service was held Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
