Mary “Patula” Jandrokovic Patrlja

Mary “Patula” Jandrokovic Patrlja, age 100, of Brownsville, Pa., and formerly of Blainesburg, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004, at her home. She was born July 27, 1903 in Austria, the daughter of Adam Jandrokovic and Eve Jadjaneovic Jandrokovic.

Mary was a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Brownsville for 83 years and a member of Saint Mary’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers since 1957.

She also loved to cook and crochet!

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Marko Patrlja, her parents, and all of her sisters and brothers making her the last member of her immediate family.

She will be sadly missed by three Sons: John Patrlja and wife Theresa of Vermilion, Ohio, Matthew Patrlja and his special friend Paula of Easley, South Carolina, and Steve Patrlja of Lorain, Ohio; one daughter, Mildred Patrlja Johns of Brownsville with whom she made her home; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Patrlja of Mansfield, Ohio. Also surviving are 13 Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren; and in Austria several Nieces and Nephews.

The Family will receive Friends in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 28, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter in Brownsville with Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Brownsville.

Saint Mary’s Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary in the Funeral Home today at 7 p.m.
