Robert F. DeCarlo
Robert F. DeCarlo, age 88, of Walkersville, Maryland, and formerly of New Salem, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 24, 2004 in Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Maryland.
He was born July 28, 1916 in Republic, Pa., son of Santo and Conchetta (DeFigeio) DeCarlo.
Robert was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Salem, Pa., Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army, member of United Mine Workers of America District 2 Local 6319, The Sons of Italy in Republic, Pa., and American Legion Post 490, Republic.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Maslanich DeCarlo, four brothers, Costa, Alfred, Raymond and Nicholas DeCarlo, two sisters, Florence Quarzo and Rose Paul, and his parents.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons: JoAnn Packan and her husband Charles of Libertytown, Maryland, Robert DeCarlo and his wife Carol of Walkersville, Maryland, Linda Hurley and her husband Melvin of Northwood, Ohio, Santo DeCarlo and his wife Sue of Walkersville, Maryland, and Annette Jacobson and her husband Jerry of Washington, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother and two sisters: Jess DeCarlo and Evelyn DeCarlo Adams both of Strongsville, Ohio, and Gloriann DeCarlo Kish of Parma, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 28, until 9:30 a.m. when Panahida Service will be held in the Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. Rumen Stoychev officiating.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
