The Brownsville Rotary Club has named Brian J. Gates of Brownsville, son of Richard A. and Charmagne K. Gates, as a student of the month. Gates is a member of Interact, the National Honor Society, SADD, and the football, basketball and track teams. Additionally, he was the student representative to the Brownsville Area School Board for January, works as an office and guidance worker at Brownsville Area High School, and serves as an altar server/trainer at St. Mary’s Church in Brownsville.
He has worked at Intermediate 1 and the Brownsville McDonald’s.
His future plans include attending Duquesne University to major in business administration sports management, play football and eventually attend law school and become a lawyer.
