Marijuana possession State police at Waynesburg said a juvenile male was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and taken into custody Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. on Windy Gap Road.

Man arrested

David Burton, 20, of 38 N. Gallatin Ave. was charged with simple assault, harassment and underage drinking for allegedly punching Ashlee Bungard in the face during a domestic dispute Sunday at 11:47 p.m. at 4 Snyder Terrace, city police said. Burton suffered minor scratches on his back during the domestic dispute. He was arraigned and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $25,000 percentage bail.

Nine cited

City police cited nine people with disorderly conduct following a fight Friday at 4:34 a.m. at 126 N. Gallatin Ave. Cited were Lisa Tichnor, 24, of 126 N. Gallatin Ave.; Kristen Norris, 21, and Anna Mae Norris, 19, both of 33 Millview St.; Kristopher Norris, 21, and John Thorpe, 35, both of 72 Murray Ave.; James Norris, 42, of 27 Madison Ave.; Lawrence Brooks, 25, of 197 River St., Adah; Michael Brant, 27, of 756 Canaan-Church Road, Gibbon Glade; and Harry Brant, 28, of 126 1/2 N. Gallatin Ave., police said. Anna Mae Norris was also cited for underage drinking.

Women cited

Tiffany Anne Long, 24, of 4 Howard Court and Tami Lynn Dennis, 29, of Republic were cited for disorderly conduct following a disturbance Sunday at 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot along North Gallatin Avenue, city police said.

Break-in reported

City police said an unknown male suspect forced open a storm door on Donna Roger’s 483 Braddock Ave. home at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday. A neighbor heard a loud noise, looked outside and saw the man running away. The incident is under investigation.

Flags recovered

City police said they responded to a report of two males and a female stealing flags from along East Fayette Street near the Marshall monument at 8:28 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found two flags on the ground and replaced them, but none appeared to be missing.

DUI arrest

Driving under the influence of alcohol charges were filed Monday against Danielle Thomas, 32, of Republic, state police said. The charges stem from a March 26 traffic stop on Craftmore Road at Union Street.

Man arrested

Earl Eugene Landman, 24, was arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching his wife, Mary Elizabeth Landman, 38, in the eye, causing it to swell shut Saturday at 10 p.m. at the Evergreen Trailer Courts, state police said.

Tires slashed

Tires on a car owned by Ronald Aldridge of Brownsville were slashed Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut on Route 40, state police said.

One-car accident

State police said Christopher K. Szalanczy of Hunker was driving north on a township road at 3:55 a.m. Sunday when his car left the road, traveled on to an embankment, returned to the road and flipped on to its roof.

Neither the driver nor his passenger, Matthew A. Bibeo of Connellsville, was injured, but the car had major damage. The township fire department assisted.

Mailbox blown up

Someone placed an unknown explosive device inside a mailbox along a legislative route and lit it at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, state police at Belle Vernon said.

The owner is Pamela E. Nagy, 49, of Perryopolis.

West Pike Run Twp.

Two-vehicle accident

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Route 40 eastbound, just west of Solomon Ford at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, state police at Belle Vernon said.

A 1987 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Thomas Androsky Jr., 25, of Uniontown and a 2003 Freightliner truck tractor and 1999 trailer driven by Tamie Paulhamus, 40, of Montgomery were involved in the accident.

Androsky’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Paulhamus’ vehicle sustained minor damage.

Traffic accident

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of two legislative routes at 3 p.m. Wednesday, state police at Belle Vernon said.

Vehicles driven by Lisa Schwartz of Belle Vernon and Walter Balla of Daisytown were involved in the accident. Schwartz’ 1999 Ford Contour sustained moderate damage and was towed, and Balla’s 1990 Chrysler Lebaron also sustained moderate damage and was towed. Balla suffered minor injuries, police said.

Burglary

A cast iron wood burner, hardwood floor covering an area of 11 by 16 feet, and a kitchen sink and countertop were taken from a home along Middle Fork Road sometime between December of 2002 and Monday, state police said.

The home was entered through the rear door, police said. The victim is FNB Consumer Discount Co. of Uniontown, police said.

North Union Twp.

Items taken

A ring, necklace and digital camera were taken from a home on Coal Street after it was entered through a window between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Taken were a size 6 women’s 14K gold diamond engagement ring, a 16-inch gold rope chain and an Olympus Stylus 300 digital camera. The owner is Tammy Louise Jordan, 34, of Lemont Furnace.

Police issue report

California police conducted the following in April:

– Cited Gwen Taylor, 19, of Short Street, Denbo, with retail theft and underage drinking for an incident that occurred at 10:45 p.m. April 10.

According to police, a security guard at the Kwik Fill in California detained Taylor after she allegedly attempted to leave the store with a candy bar hidden in her pants. Police said when they arrived they smelled alcohol on Taylor, who admitted to taking beers from her father’s house.

– Cited Robert Peter Strickler, 25, of Central School Road, Perryopolis, and Dustin T. Thomas, 24, of New York with disorderly conduct after police, while on patrol, allegedly witnessed the two fighting at the corner of Second and Union streets at 2 a.m. April 2.

– Charged Daniel J. Getz, 20, of Sandy Plains Road, Clarksville, with driving under the influence, careless driving and underage drinking after police allegedly witnessed him driving erratically on the 300 block of Wood Street. Police said Getz had a blood-alcohol level of .271 percent.

– Will file charges against a 35-year-old California man for DUI and driving under a suspended license after an incident that occurred at 10:04 p.m. Friday.

– Charged Maceo Bell, 22, of Daisytown with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Police said Bell ran when they tried to arrest him at the corner of Third and Liberty streets for outstanding warrants.

According to police, they caught Bell in a yard near Liberty Street and Strawberry Way, where they allegedly found a knitted pouch containing four individual stamp bags, that later tested positive for heroin, about eight feet from where they took Bell down.

Police said the bags smelled of the same cologne found in Bell’s pocket and was dry even though it had rained all day and the ground was wet.

Vehicle damaged

A vehicle parked on Swink Hill Road was damaged between 1 a.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Monday, state police said.

The owner is Joseph S. Leighliter of Connellsville.

Ellsworth

Wanted man

State police in Washington County have obtained an arrest warrant for Franklin E. Sebetich from Ellsworth for committing a home invasion-type armed robbery on April 21.

On Wednesday, police attempted to serve a warrant on Sebetich at his residence; however, he eluded capture by fleeing into the woods, police said.

Police said Sebetich is 56 years old and five-foot-eight-inches tall.

Police said Sebetich is on federal parole, is extremely violent and known to carry firearms.

They added that Sebetich has shot at state police troopers and municipal police officers in the past.

DUI cited

The Southwest Regional Police Department cited James Franklin Duvall III, 32, of 217 Jefferson Ave., West Brownsville, with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 906 in Belle Vernon Saturday, April 24, at 11:38 p.m. Charges were filed with District Justice Jesse Cramer.

Underage drinking

A 17-year-old male was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking following an incident in the 300 block of Long Alley in Belle Vernon Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.

The Southwest Regional Police Department filed the charges with District Justice Jesse Cramer.

Man cited

City police said Leonard A. Tucker Jr., 21, of 208 Connellsville St. was cited for disorderly conduct and vehicle code violations following an incident Wednesday at 5:21 p.m. Police said they tried to conduct a traffic stop on Coolspring Street at Thomas Street, but Tucker allegedly sped into Pershing Court.

He was apprehended while exiting his vehicle. Police said he was in possession of two loaded 9mm handguns, but has a permit to carry firearms.

Runaway reported

City police said Beverly Walker reported that her son, Willie Batie, jumped out of her car on Cleveland Avenue and fled at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. He could not be located.

Bike stolen

Keith Amos reported that a blue and silver 26-inch Mongoose bicycle was stolen from in front of his residence sometime Wednesday morning, city police said.
