The faculty and administration of Laurel Business Institute named Carl Lewis, a fifth semester information technology major, as October student of the month. He is pursuing a dual major in computer software support and network administration and will earn his specialized associate degrees in both of these programs in February 2005.
Lewis is a member of Phi Beta Lambda, and took first place in network design in the PBL state leadership conference in Williamsport in April. In July, he competed in this event at the National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colo.
Lewis owns and operates CNR Computer Services, and is the executive director of the Bullskin/Connellsville Township Joint Sewer Authority. He is married and has three grown daughters.
